Inverness Castle Experience

Storytelling Experience - HighLife Highlands - 2026

Interpretation Planning and 3D Design - at Mather & Co

The Inverness Castle Experience attracts tourists from around the world and locals to experience the Spirit of the Highlands through several immersive spaces where they can hear stories collected from proud Highlanders. As part of this experience, I worked with the client, HighLife Highlands to develop the story selection process, which identified 100 out of 300+ stories to feature in the experience. The key for this project was to ensure the stories were authentic, while the design added the magic of the experience. I managed to content delivery for the experience, including arranging theatrical writers and inhouse HighLife Highland Scots Gaelic translators to produce all written and script texts. I also designed two of the rooms, the Rose Window and Stone room, where visitors could connect to the heritage and the land of the Highlands. Each room aimed to feel immersive yet drenched historical inspiration.
