I have a particular interest in animal storytelling within museums, and work to explore how interpretation can inspire us to improve our relationships with animals.

Currently I write a Substack publication called Musea Animalia which focusses on this very topic. Here I introduce my concept of the de-domination lens, and develop it through interrogating interpretation, collections and storytelling methods.

 

I also include a series called Animal Muses where I focus on the story of a single taxidermied animal in a museum, working with them to find out more and tell the animals' story through historic archive research, science and observation and a bit of imagination too!
